Forum For Democracy & Communal Amity (FDCA)
Rising Against Threats: FDCA's Commitment to India's Democratic Fabric
Hate politics, communal polarization, and targeted violence against minorities have become disturbingly normalized. Economic progress is hindered by societal issues like nepotism and bribery, while social harmony suffers from religious biases and casteism. The FDCA stands against these trends, aiming to restore trust, promote tolerance, and safeguard the democratic principles that form the core of our nation.
In the seven decades since India gained independence, we envisioned a multicultural, multireligious, and multilingual republic founded on the principles of Equality, Liberty, Fraternity, and Justice. However, the current scenario is concerning. Our democratic values are under threat, with institutions deliberately weakened for political gain.
The FDCA was founded in 1993, with the esteemed Late Justice V.M. Tarkunde serving as its first president. Currently, the organization is headed by Professor Muchkund Dubey, former Indian Foreign Secretary and Ambassador.
